It all starts with understanding that the FleetQi is far more than just a switch. It’s a system that has versatile functionality with adaptive use in various markets. It offers tools like a battery monitor, app service and PIN activation security. All for far less than the cost of each feature sold separately. Sometimes it’s difficult to immediately know if most switches are ON or OFF. Most people forget to turn them ON or OFF. Especially if they’re hidden kill switches. Not a problem with the FleetQi!

If you purchased a FleetQi™ before fall 2019, then it works off of a 12 Volt or 16 Volt battery. If you’re using 8 Volt batteries, please put two 8 Volt batteries in series to create 16 Volts. The same applies to 6 Volt batteries. Put two 6 Volt batteries in series to create 12 Volts. Then your FleetQi™ will function properly.

If you're having functionality issues, usually this is caused by incorrect cable connection to the cart battery. Our patented FleetQi™ digital battery meter can read the entire load output by connecting to just two batteries instead of all of them. Simply hook up the positive wire to the positive terminal of one battery and negative wire to the negative terminal of another battery. For an 8V, 12V or 6V configuration, connect the cables across any 2 batteries. Again, this is if you purchased a FleetQi™ before fall 2019.

If you purchased a FleetQi™ after the fall of 2019, then there’s no need to be concerned about battery configuration.

The FleetQi™ is designed to operate cart ignitions and monitor battery power levels only. Therefore, it performs best under the specific set of conditions described in the installation process. Please install exactly as directed. DO NOT attempt to connect the FleetQi in series to other accessories such as speakers, lights, voltage regulators, etc. Doing so will hinder or prevent optimum FleetQi™ performance.

The FleetQi™ battery meter is designed to give helpful power level readings for your electric cart. Various cart makes and models have differing power configurations that result in slight readout inconsistencies. Although we strive to provide as accurate a reading as possible, the battery meter should be used as a guide. As you gain more experience with your FleetQi™, you'll be able to understand better meter accuracy as you determine which readouts coincide with your particular cart's power levels.

DO NOT attempt disconnection of ANY FleetQi™ wire connectors. These carefully-sealed connectors are engineered, designed and factory fastened to maintain connection throughout the FleetQi™ lifetime. Wire connector tampering or disconnection will result in FleetQi™ malfunction and voiding of the manufacturer warranty. Absolutely. It is highly water resistant but it is not waterproof. Do not test this by putting your cart underwater with an installed FleetQi™ or spraying it directly with water. That will void the warranty.

Yes. We have designed the housing to be strong and durable. It will withstand most weather. However, it may not survive in the following conditions: Tornados, Hurricanes, Tsunamis, Earthquakes and any garden variety Zombie Apocalypse.
